We so often hear about all the things we need to do, to keep our physical heart healthy. We know that if we eat a healthy diet, exercise, and manage stress, we are likely to keep our heart functioning well. This is good for all of your energy centers, including your heart chakra. So, what else can you do to keep the energy of your heart chakra open and balanced?
Since the heart chakra resonates with the energy of love, you may want to explore this in your own life. Of course you want to love yourself and others. It's that simple but it's also extremely powerful. Have you ever noticed how two people can say the same thing, but for some reason one of them felt better? Have you ever gone to a caring health care provider and felt better just by the conversation? Or felt worse just by the conversation from someone who seemed disinterested? I have learned many different psychotherapy techniques to help people over the years. What I found (and what research has confirmed) is that it is not the specific technique that makes the most difference. Instead, it is the therapeutic relationship. In other words, it is the energy of love and positive regard that ultimately helps people to heal and move forward in their lives. I have found that when adding energy work to the therapeutic discussions that people heal even faster and in profound ways. We are on the way to having clear scientific evidence about the impact of the energetic interventions. In the meantime, I believe that by channeling high vibration energy for someone, we are allowing this high vibration energy (otherwise known as love) to directly impact the person's energy field. Love heals.
So what gets in the way? It is usually fear. Fear that if you open your heart, you will open yourself to pain. Fear that if you forgive others, it will leave you feeling powerless. Or fear that if you forgive yourself, you will never learn. The truth is that forgiveness of yourself and others is empowering. When you are in the fullness of love, you experience the highest and most powerful vibration of energy.
